LTO Vehicle Registration Assistance FAQs

Question 1 Is this the same as the LTO on Wheels being done inside the Barangay?

Answer No. The LTO on Wheels service previously held inside Bel-Air Village has been suspended indefinitely. To continue providing assistance for car registrations, we have decided to partner with LTO Makati and their partner emission testing center, Steadfast.

Answer Yes. Our Barangay Staff and I will be consolidating all the submitted documents and will submit to LTO the following day.

Question 3 Do we have to write anything in the envelope for submission (name, address, contact number and plate number)?

Answer Yes, and on the 17th, we will have you sign an acknowledgment receipt confirming that we have received all documents and payments.

Question 4 Where do we put the money for the payments?

Answer The money must be put inside the brown envelope together with all the documents.

Question 5 I already have insurance. Will that be accepted?

Answer Yes, the LTO accepts insurance from any insurance company accredited by the Philippine Insurance Commission. you are not required to buy insurance from the LTO office itself. Please make sure to ask a Certificate of Validation from your insurance provider.

Question 6 What is the Certificate of Validation?

Answer The Certificate of Validation (COV) is an additional verification document issued by your insurance provider for your CTPL insurance. It confirms to the LTO that your policy is authentic, and the validation fee usually costs around ₱70.
